Jocelyn Aguirre

Jocelyn Aguirre is the Volunteer Manager for Chicago Debates and a proud alum of the program. Her experience as a policy debater from 2014 to 2018 shaped her passion for fostering a strong debate community and equipping students with critical skills. She believes debate enhances students’ ability to listen actively, problem-solve efficiently, and communicate effectively—skills that serve them throughout life. Jocelyn is a Posse Scholar and a 2022 graduate of St. Olaf College, where she studied Economics and Asian Studies. During college, she led the Students for Reproductive Rights organization and interned with Pro-Choice Minnesota, collaborating with Unrestrict Minnesota and Advocates for Youth to advance reproductive rights.
