Celebrate. Connect. Champion.

For over a decade, Make Room for Debate has been Chicago Debates’ largest annual fundraising event. This gathering of business professionals, nonprofit leaders, and the greater debate community allows us to fund programming for students all across the city in the upcoming school year. This event has taken many forms over the years—from luncheons, to galas, to dinners—but remains a yearly celebration for the residents of Chicago to look towards the future of our youth. Most of all, Make Room for Debate recognizes the life-changing power of speech and debate programming for Chicago Public Schools students, and strengthens our ability to make an impact as an Urban Debate League.
